NOVA ENTERTAINMENT LAUNCHES PODQUEST

In an Australian first, NOVA Entertainment announced the launch of Podquest, an initiative designed to discover and support new and emerging podcasters commencing 7 April.

In March NOVA launched the Nova Podcast platform, a portfolio of podcasts including optimised show content, original productions in non-radio categories and podcast series specifically created for brands. Now Nova has announced details of Podquest, an initiative created to provide opportunities for new and emerging audio content creators through grants of financial assistance as well as access to NOVA Entertainment’s production facilities, technical expertise and distribution channels.

Aspiring podcasters will be able to load a podcast on the podquest.com.au website from 7 April until 19 May to be eligible to win. Applicants will be judged by an internal and external industry panel including Adam Martin, Acast’s Chief Content Officer and an international podcast expert with up to 10 podcasters revealed by 26 May. The winner will be announced by 2 June and will utilise NOVA Entertainment’s expertise and production capabilities to create a five part series podcast for release.

NOVA Entertainment recently published two podcast series in non-radio categories with The Wise Guides with Amber Petty featuring wisdom from women who are successful in their own special unique fileds and The Abstract History of Music with Chit Chat, a music based 10 part podcast. NOVA also launched the first podcast series created especially for Ladbrokes - Left Right Out, a light hearted look at the world of sport each week.

Nova Podcast partnered with Acast, the world’s leading technology platform for on-demand and podcasting, to utilise their experience in developing top innovations in audio ad tech including pre and mid-roll content and analytics. Nova Podcast will allow advertisers to dynamically serve advertisements across any of the platforms where their consumers access podcasts, providing advertisers with the opportunity to commission native content within podcasts tailored to their needs. In addition to this, the Podquest website will provide the opportunity for emerging podcasters to become the new podcast superstar.

Nova Podcast is available now with podcasts accessible through NOVA Entertainment’s digital and mobile platforms and Acast. Candidates can submit their podcasts to Podquest through the website www.podquest.com from 7 April.
