our commitment to our people

We are committed to including people from all walks of life in our work.

Our areas of focus to achieve this commitment to create a diverse and inclusive workplace are currently centred around Gender and Cultural diversity, coupled with education.

Future Women

To turn the key on a progressive strategy for the growth and development of mid-career women and non-binary at Nova Entertainment, we have partnered with Future Women.

This program gives access to a scholarship program for select individuals to grow their confidence, capabilities and connections through leadership training, inspirational events and digital support networks.

In parallel, the Future Women Changemakers program immerses those selected in the behavioural and organisational science of gender equality and the critical role men play.

Nova Includability

At NOVA Entertainment, we believe in ability.

Over the past 11 years we have had the privilege of hiring a number of employees in various roles through the Australian Federal Government job support program, IncludeAbility.

One of our longest tenured employees is Nathan Basha, Office Assistant in our Sydney office.

Nath is a passionate and popular employee of NOVA Entertainment as well as a motivational speaker, filmmaker, and advocate for equity in employment access for people living with a disability.

Skilled Refugee Program

As part of our commitment to diversifying our employee base we have partnered with Talent Beyond Boundaries to become a part of the Skilled Refugee program.

Via this program we will be connected with Afghani female refugees to begin work with us and address our areas of skills shortage.

In 2022 we will sponsor at least two families and aim to integrate them into our organisation and our community in the hope we can make a positive and meaningful impact on their lives.

Inclusion

Education is the bedrock of our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workplace now and into the future.

To help facilitate this, we are proud partners of the Diversity Council of Australia, the independent not-for-profit peak body leading diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Through this partnership, NOVA Entertainment employees receive training and access to research, resources and events.
