Melissa Doyle


Melissa Doyle is not only one of the most popular media personalities, she also hosts her own weekend breakfast show on smoothfm.

Every Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 10am, Melissa adds her relaxed take on the weekend for smoothfm’s busy listeners. Whether it’s doing the chores, driving the kids to sport or just relaxing at home, Melissa helps listeners start the weekend with a blend of great music. 

In 2014 Melissa won an Australian Commercial Radio Award (ACRA) for Best Newcomer on air.

Melissa is a News Presenter and Senior Correspondent with Seven News Australia, hosting Channel Seven’s 4pm national bulletin and covering special international and local assignments.

After graduating from Charles Sturt University with a Degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1990, Mel began her career as a television news reporter in Canberra before joining the Seven Network in 1995. Melissa built a loyal following as co-host of Seven’s Sunrise for 14 years and hosted landmark televisions specials such as TV Turns 50, Reach out to Asia Tsunami Appeal and Where Are They Now?

She has interviewed some of the biggest names in entertainment including Katy Perry and Stevie Nicks. She has covered key events including the Sydney, Athens and Beijing Olympic Games, The Academy Awards and was the first journalist to interview Tom Cruise following the birth of Suri.

Melissa has also released her book Alphabet Soup and co-authored the Working Mothers Survival Guide in 2007.

She is an Ambassador for The Alannah & Madeline Foundation, Westmead’s Children’s Hospital, World Vision, Children’s Cancer Institute and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Melissa is married to John and the very proud mother of Nicholas and Talia.
