Princess of Pop - Kylie Minogue Brings Old School Disco to smoothfm

Australian icon Kylie Minogue, will get the party started on Friday nights, hosting smoothfm’s Old School Disco tonight, from 7pm to 9pm.

With the first show airing tonight, Friday 6 November, to coincide with the release of her new album DISCO, Kylie will jump behind the mic to play two hours of the ultimate disco collection, commercial free, from 7pm for the next four weeks.

With a soundtrack created to get listeners moving including Donna Summer, Madonna, Chic, Janet Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire and M People, and no party mix would be complete without Abba’s Dancing Queen, smoothfm’s Old School Disco will be a selection of some of the best songs to dance to.

Kylie said, “I’m jumping behind the mic to host smooth’s Old School Disco Friday night edition. Simon Diaz was doing such a fantastic job hosting Saturday nights so I said, hang on, I need to play some of my all-time favourite dance floor hits as well to create that vibe wherever you’re enjoying your night.”

Today, 6 November, Kylie released her brand new album DISCO featuring the singles ‘Say Something’ and ‘Magic’, can be heard on smoothfm. DISCO’ follows Kylie’s 2018’s album Golden, which hit number 1 in both Australia and the UK. Kylie is Australia’s highest-selling female artist of all time and has won 16 ARIA Awards, 3 BRIT Awards, 2 MTV Music Awards and a Grammy.

Kylie Minogue hosts smoothfm’s Old School Disco on Friday nights from 7pm to 9pm from Friday 6 November, on smoothfm 95.3, smoothfm 91.5 and nationally on DAB+.
