SURVEY FIVE HAS LANDED: HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OUR PERFORMANCE
For our 15th consecutive survey, NOVA Entertainment has held onto the title of Australia’s biggest metro radio audience (across broadcast, streaming, and DAB+), with over 6.34m P10+ consistently choosing to make our stations a staple in their daily routine.
We continue to draw the largest streaming audience of any major network, with over 1.39m Australians streaming our stations.
Thanks to the combined power of Nova and Smooth FM, NOVA Entertainment has more listeners across the key markets of Melbourne and Sydney than any other network. With an audience of over 4.34m P10+, we’re a cheeky 300,000 listeners ahead of our nearest competitor (and only 0.3% off #1 share).
Looking to some of our biggest highlights:
Smooth FM 95.3 has once again unseated a giant in Sydney, surpassing 2GB to retain the crown as SYDNEY’S #1 OVERALL STATION (cume & share). It is now officially Australia’s most popular station, knocking our very own Nova 100 off the top spot with an audience of 1.38m.
Not to be outdone in Melbourne, Smooth FM 91.5 has strengthened its position as the #2FM STATION IN MELBOURNE, securing a share of 9.8%.
Turning our attention to Nova, it his once again AUSTRALIA’S FAVOURITE RADIO NETWORK, with over 4 million loyal listeners and the #1 share spot at 9.3%.
It also remains the #1 FM NETWORK FOR BREAKFAST (cume & share), with 2.2m Aussies choosing to start their day with us - that’s 366,000 more than our nearest competitor. *Chef’s Kiis.
Speaking of breakfast, our local shows cooked up some incredible wins:
Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren might have just missed out on #1 share (by 0.1%), but they continue to draw the biggest crowd in Melbourne, with an audience of 722,000 Melbournians. That’s 142,000 more than current #1, The Christian O’Connell Show, but who’s counting?
Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun extended their lead as PERTH’S #1 BREAKFAST SHOW, with a share of 16.4% and an audience of 396,000 loyal listeners. Nova 93.7 also took back the top spot as PERTH’S #1 STATION.
Nova 919’s Jodie & Hayesy continued their run as Adelaide’s most popular Breakfast show, with an audience of 201,000.
We’re not just morning people though - we do some of our best work from 4pm:
Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel is the country’s #1 DRIVE SHOW (SHARE 10.7% AND CUME 1.33m)
Ben, Liam & Belle is the #1 LATE DRIVE SHOW (SHARE 9.5% & CUME 654k).
Some extra highlights because who doesn’t love good news:
Nova’s The Chrissie Swan Show is THE MOST LISTENED TO SHOW 2-4PM (CUME 1.18m).
Adelaide’s FIVEAA Breakfast show, David & Will, bucked the talkback trend and grew their share to take out the #2 spot.
Coles Radio continues to be the only good thing about grocery shopping during cozzie lives. It’s the nation’s #1 DAB+ NETWORK, with a metro audience of 332,000.
