With the release of the first survey of 2024, NOVA Entertainment continues to hold onto the title of Australia’s highest reaching network, with a total network cume (broadcast and DAB+) for all people (6,383,000).*

We are also celebrating the biggest broadcast audience in the country for people 10+ (5,932,000) and 25-54 (3,180,000).

Highlights from the Smooth FM network nationally:

  • Smooth FM 95.3 starts the year as Sydney’s #1FM station with a 10.8% share.

  • The Smooth network inclusive of smooth Relax, Vintage & 80’s reaches over 2,716,000 listeners nationally across FM and DAB+*

  • Smooth FM 95.3 is Sydney’s #1 station in Afternoons (11.6%) and Drive (10.8%) and the #1FM station for Mornings (12.7%), Evenings (13.4%) and Weekends (11.1%)

  • Smooth FM is the #1 DAB station with the highest cumes in Adelaide (37k) and Perth (90k) and #2 in Brisbane (78k).

Highlights from the Nova network nationally:

Nova is Australia’s most listened to metro network for people 10+ (4,218,600) and equal #1 in share (9.3%). We are also home to the biggest 25-54 audience (2,442,000).

We can also call dibs on the biggest metro Breakfast audience (5.30-9am) with a cume of 2,161,700 – 162k ahead of our closest competitor. We’ve even got Workday covered, with the biggest metro audience across the day - 2.494m to be exact.

Highlights for our national shows (live from 2pm-10pm):

  • The Chrissie Swan Show is the most listened to afternoon show (2-4pm) with a cume of 1,507,300.

  • Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel remain on top as Australia’s #1 Drive show (4-6 pm) in share (10.9%) and cume (1,541,200) – up 73k listeners.

  • ‘Best of Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie’ (6-7 pm) is #1 nationally in share (10.7%) and cume (720,100)

  • Smallzy’s Surgery is the #1FM Evening show nationally (7-10 pm) in share (9%) and cume (714,900) – up 79k listeners.

Highlights for Nova’s local teams in each market (live from 5.30am - 2pm):

  • Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie (5.30-9am) is Sydney’s #2 breakfast show in share (8.4%) and cume (629,000) - making it the show’s most successful survey yet!

  • Nova 100 had the biggest audience growth in Melbourne, welcoming 103,000 new listeners (for a total cume of 1,223,000).

  • Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun start 2024 as Perth’s #1 Breakfast show (5.30-9 am) in share (17.2%) and cume (391,000) – 74k ahead of the nearest competitor. Nova 93.7 remains Perth’s most listened to station with a cume of 641,000

  • Nova 106.9 is Brisbane’s most listened to station with a cume of 691,000.

  • Nova 919 is Adelaide’s equal most listened-to station with a cume of 359,000. Jodie & Hayesy is Adelaide’s most listened to Breakfast Show (5.30-9am) with 187,000 listeners.

  • FIVEaa’s David & Will is Adelaide’s #2 Commercial Breakfast Show (5.30-9 am) with a share of 12.6%.
