For our 20th consecutive survey, NOVA Entertainment has held onto the title of Australia’s biggest metro radio audience (across broadcast, streaming, and DAB+), with over 6.428m P10+ consistently choosing to make our stations a staple in their daily routine.
Thanks to the combined power of Nova and Smooth FM, NOVA Entertainment once again has more listeners across the key markets of Melbourne and Sydney than any other network. With an audience of over 4.45m P10+, we’re a cheeky 282,000 listeners ahead of our nearest competitor.
Looking to some of our biggest highlights:
Smooth FM 95.3 is once again SYDNEY’S #1 STATION OUTRIGHT, with a share of 13.3% (equal with 2GB) and 1.448m listeners - the biggest audience of any station in Australia currently, and the SECOND-BIGGEST CUME OF ANY FM STATION in recorded history.
Smooth 95.3’s More Music Breakfast Show with Bogart Torelli has SYDNEY’S BIGGEST BREAKFAST AUDIENCE, adding both cume & share in Survey Two. (CUME: 731,000, SHARE: 10.9%)
Not to be outdone in Melbourne, Smooth FM 91.5 is also holding firm as the #2FM STATION IN MELBOURNE, growing share to 9.9% (and an audience of 1.169m).
Turning our attention to Nova, it continues to be AUSTRALIA’S #1 FM NETWORK for both 10+ (SHARE: 9.4%, CUME: 4M) and 25-54 (SHARE: 12.1% AND CUME: 2.26M). *exc. DAB+
We’re still home to AUSTRALIA’S BIGGEST BREAKFAST: 2.247m Australians choose to start their day with Nova. That’s 360,000 ahead of our nearest competitor.
Nova’s new national drive show, Fitzy, Wippa & Kate, holds strong as AUSTRALIA’S #1 DRIVE SHOW (4pm-6pm) with a share of 11.1%. They have also secured the country’s biggest Drive audience, with 1.375 million listeners.
Some local highlights:
Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren retain the top spot as MELBOURNE’S #1FM BREAKFAST SHOW - share 10.4% (equal with Gold) and records its 15th consecutive survey as the MOST POPULAR SHOW (CUME: 652,000).
Nova 969’s Ricki-Lee and Tim hit 9.0% share, making it Nova’s strongest Sydney breakfast share result in 17 years.
53 SURVEYS AT #1: Nova 93.7’S Nathan, Nat & Shaun galvanises its lead as PERTH’S #1 BREAKFAST SHOW with a share of 17.5% and a cume of 419,000. Nova 93.7 is unstoppable, continuing as PERTH’S #1 STATION (SHARE: 15.6%, CUME: 679,000).
Nova 919 increases its lead as ADELAIDE’S MOST POPULAR STATION (CUME: 338,000) while Jodie & Hayesy take back the top spot as ADELAIDE’S MOST POPULAR BREAKFAST SHOW (CUME: 170,000).
