DAN “DC” CASSIN HOSTS AFTERNOONS ON NOVA

Dan “DC” Cassin can be heard in afternoons from 12pm to 4pm on Nova 96.9 in Sydney.

Talking about music comes naturally for DC, he’s been living and breathing it for 19 years.

After completing a radio course at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in 1998, he got his start in radio as the stunt guy on Coast Rock (now Sea FM) on the Central Coast in NSW.

With stints around the country in Newcastle, Adelaide and Perth, in 2008 he returned home to Sydney at 2DayFM. Across the next seven years with the station, DC was Operations Manager, Music Director and hosted the number one FM Morning show.

In 2015 Nova 96.9 welcomed DC to the team as Operations Manager and in July that year he jumped back behind the mic, as weekday announcer for Nova.

When DC is not on air he loves to travel. From living in London and travelling all over Europe, to his latest adventure with the family which sparked a new-found love for Hawaii, especially Turtle Bay, only a short drive down the coast to find Giovanni’s shrimp truck. DC is always up for telling his story of how he got on the set of Hawaii 5-0, a show he is a massive fan of.

DC has a passion for brewing homemade Kombucha and Water Kefir (A fermented beverage). He loves spending time with his wife, Kay, daughters Koko and Lulu, their pet Schnoodle, Peppa.

DC can be heard weekdays from 12pm to 4pm on Nova 96.9 in Sydney.
